Jessica Gowan can make her $1 million dreams come true.  The 45-year old Georgetown Resident won the MaxMillions prize as part of the LottoMax draw June 15.
Gowan doesn’t play the lottery on a  regular basis.  She checked the ticket through the Ontario Lottery Gaming (OLG) Lottery App.  “I thought wow, that’s a lot of zeroes! I couldn’t wait to have my brother take a second look.  My brother scanned the ticket and then looked at me and said, ‘Are you going to retire?” She bought the winning ticket at a Circle K in Georgetown.
Gowans is looking to use some of her winnings on travel.  One of her trips being a train trip through the Rocky Mountains from British Columbia.  “It’s crazy.  It still doesn’t feel real,” she said.”
The OLG is now booking in person prize claim appointments, but only for those winners who require an in-person interview.  Winners claiming over $50,000 can call 1-800-387-0098 for more information on how to claim their prize.  Anyone claiming prizes up to $49,999.90 are invited to continue claiming prizes by mail.
