Georgetown Resident Wins Jackpot on Instant Crossword

A Georgetown resident has won a jackpot on the Instant Crossword Tripler Game.  49-year old Tywanna Carew won the top prize of $100,000.
Carew won after playing her ticket at home.  “I thought I won $20 and then I kept uncovering more words.  My husband and I looked over the ticket a few times before we checked it using OLG (Ontario Lottery and Game) App,” she said.  She’d bought it a Shell on Great Lakes Drive in Brampton.  Crossword Tripler Tickets are available for $5 each.
When she told her kids about the windfall, the kids thought it was a joke.  “One of my children said, it’s not April fools, you can’t fool me,” she said.  Carew plans to help her children, and save for her retirement. “The win comes at a good time,” she said.
