Metrolinx has released its initial business case(IBC) for a second GO Station in Milton. The potential location would be along Trafalgar Rd near existing CP tracks west of Trafalgar, on the south side of the Milton corridor.
“This is an exciting first step towards expanding transit options in Milton. The IBC outlines the benefits of providing more options for Miltonians along the Milton GO line,” Milton Member of Provincial Parliament Parm Gill said. Metrolinx proposes delivering the new station on the province’s Transit Oriented Communities Program.
“We’ve reached the first official milestone for the realization of a potential Milton-Trafalgar GO Station,” Mayor Gord Krantz said. The station is slated to become a central point for the Town’s future Trafalgar and Agerton Secondary plans. The area could attract as many as 32,000 residents, and 19,000 jobs. It could serve as many as 2,000 customers by 2041. The business case is subject to other necessary approvals and agreements.
