A sign built to showcase Chatham-Kent at the 2018 International Plowing Match is getting a new lease on life.
Plans are in the works to relocate the fabricated metal sign to the corner of Grand Avenue and Keil Drive, thanks to collaboration between Enbridge and the municipality.
The fabricated metal sign features “CK” in six-foot high metal letters mounted on decorative framework.
Mayor Darrin Canniff brought the idea forward to Chatham-Kent council recently, asking that fees associated with moving the sign and installing it at the Enbridge property be waived.
Canniff said reviving the sign is the start of things to come, adding he hopes to see more art installations throughout the municipality.
Canniff said the sign should be installed by late May or early June.
