Ontario is expanding its COVID-19 vaccine rollout to youth. Starting May 23, 2021 at 8 a.m. those over the age of 12 will be able to book through the provincial online booking system, as well as at select pharmacies giving the Pfizer vaccine.
The change is in response to requests from Public Health Units (PHU) to make it easier for families to get vaccinated. Those who are not 12 as of May 23, 2021 are asked book at later date through their PHU or the province’s call center.
Over 600 pharmacies began offering the Pfizer vaccine to those over the age of 18. The province hopes to administer a first dose to 65% of Ontarians over 18 by the end of this month.
