Impaired Driving Offences Within Halton Region

HRPS was called out to a black bear sighting in Halton Hills yesterday

On July 31, 2020 just after 10:30 am, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Melissa Crescent and Cavendish Drive in Burlington. As a result of an investigation, Justin Murray (29) of Burlington was charged with operation while impaired and blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 2, 2020 at approximately 10:00 pm, Halton Police officers responded to a collision in the area of Magnolia Terrance and Sycamore Garden in Milton. As a result of an investigation, Daley Douglas (38) of Brampton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 3, 2020, just before 5:30 pm, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of Mill Street East and Frederick Street North in Acton. As a result of an investigation, Leander Rowsell (54) of Acton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

On August 4, 2020, just before 12:30 am, Halton Police officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of the Queen Elizabeth Way and Winston Churchill Boulevard in Oakville. As a result of an investigation, John Paul (39) of Brampton was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The Halton Regional Police Service remains committed to road safety through prevention, education and enforcement initiatives.

Members of the public are reminded that driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is a crime in progress and to call 9-1-1 immediately to report a suspected impaired driver.
