Battery Boy presents the 6th annual ‘Hike for Hospice Chatham-Kent’

The Tilbury Times Staff

With spring just around the corner, the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation is encouraging supporters, friends and neighbours to join the 6th annual Hike for Hospice from April 25 until May 1 at Mud Creek Trail in Chatham.

“With the success of last year’s virtual Hike, we are sticking with this format so families can walk Mud Creek Trail anytime during the week. We received such kind feedback about the addition of the memorial signs on the trail that we are offering this opportunity again this year,” said Giri Thommandram, Hike for Hospice event chair.

Megan, Bronson and Greyson Parry walk along Mud Creek Trail, as part of the 2021 Hike for Hospice Chatham-Kent presented by Battery Boy.

“If you can’t make it out to Mud Creek, you can still participate remotely by completing your hike wherever you would like – on a different trail, in your neighbourhood, or even in your own house.”

Registration for the virtual event is free, but participants will be able to purchase a commemorative t-shirt in addition to memorial signs.

Prior to walking, hikers are encouraged to collect pledges in support of the residents and families of Chatham-Kent Hospice. These vital funds will ensure families continue to receive compassionate, end-of-life care at no cost.

Hike for Hospice Chatham-Kent is proudly presented by Battery Boy and generously supported by JMRD Watson Wealth Management Group.
