Tilbury is gearing up for a spectacular Canada Day celebration hosted by the Tilbury BIA at the Canada Day Fireworks event in Tilbury Memorial Park on Thursday, June 27, 2024.
“Last year we were fortunate to have over 3,000 people attend this event. We are thankful for the support of local businesses who help to make the fireworks an annual success,” says Tilbury BIA Executive Director Gloria Mailloux.
The Tilbury Fireworks, a cherished tradition for over 50 years, is set to deliver an exciting lineup this year. The festivities will feature live music by The Ashley Lynn Experience, a multi-genre act, starting at 7 pm. The much-anticipated highlight of the evening, the fireworks display, will kick off at dusk.
Families are in for a treat at the event, with free cupcakes provided by Tilbury Foodland, kids’ glitter tattoos, glow necklaces, and balloon twisting, and a variety of delicious food from the Tilbury Firefighters Association booth.
Brady’s Drug Store sponsors this year’s event. Brady’s staff will add to the excitement by offering complimentary tickets to those displaying their Canada Day spirit, offering a chance to win a $250 Best Buy gift card. The winner will be announced just before the fireworks begin.
“Brady’s Drug Store is a family-owned pharmacy, and being part of the local community is important to us,” says Pharmacist-Owner Tim Brady. “We hope the whole community will celebrate with us at Memorial Park.”
In inclement weather, the fireworks will be rescheduled for Sunday, June 30.
