Zonta Club of Chatham-Kent president Celina Shoji; Chatham-Kent Sexual Assault Crisis Centre executive director Linda Souilere; Chatham Kent Women’s Centre leader Karen Hunter; Leah Cabral, the head of Chatham-Kent Victim’s Services; Chatham-Kent Health Alliance domestic violence/sexual assault lead Tara Greenway: C-K Mayor Darrin Canniff; and Chatham-Kent police Insp. Greg Cranston gathered in downtown Chatham Friday to unveil a new purple bench in Zonta Park. Part of the Barb’s Benches Project, the installation was made to support and honour victims of intimate partner violence and human trafficking, and to show help is available.
