The Town of Milton has officially opened applications for the 2020-2021 Milton Community Fund. Approximately $269,000 is available for not-for-profit groups in the 2020 program.
“This program supports local organizations who contribute to our community,” Mayor Gord Krantz said. Organizations that provide artistic, cultural, and recreational services that benefit the community will be given funding priority.
The Milton Community Fund was established by Milton Council in 2001 to distribute a portion of the funds received from the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (Woodbine – Mohawk Park). Over the past 19 years, the Milton Community Fund has distributed more than $6.6 million to a wide range of not-for-profit community organizations. Last year, Milton Council approved the distribution of $258,840 in grants to support 35 organizations. “The support provided through the Community Fund recognizes their contributions to making Milton a place of possibility for people of all ages,” Krantz said.
Applications are open until September 14, 2020. Decisions will be made no later than early January, 2021. For more information, including application guidelines, and forms visit the website or call 905-878-7252 ext. 2529.
