Milton is getting its Hollywood closeup this week. The Man from Toronto featuring Woody Harleson, Kevin Hart, and Kaley Cuoco is shutting down stretches of Main St, and Mill St. for the next week.
Monday, Tuesday and Saturday Main St between James and Martin will be closed between 6am and 5pm. The street will be open to pedestrians. Thursday, Friday and Saturday filming will be in the parking lots along Mill St between James and Martin. Police officers will be on-hand to advise and direct customers, and local business owners. Residents visiting the area are encouraged to use the parking lots on Mary St.
It’s not the first time Milton has been featured on-screen. CTV show Saving Hope was filmed here in 2012, while a Anne of Green Gables tv movie featuring Martin Sheen was made here in 2016. Most recently, episodes of Star Trek Discovery were filmed at Kelso Conservation Area, and Hilton Falls.
