Milton Mayor Gord Krantz has released the following statement on National Volunteer Week:
During National Volunteer Week (April 18-24) we would like to recognize the wonderful volunteers who traditionally spend countless hours supporting local agencies, service clubs and organizations like the Town of Milton.
It has been a year of pause and change with the pandemic. The way in which we live, work and socialize has changed significantly and many volunteer opportunities have either been altered or placed on hold. We look forward to seeing our volunteers return to a safe new normal, when it is time.
Volunteer contributions will be more essential than ever in our community in order to bring things back to where they were before the pandemic. If you have not had an opportunity to volunteer in our community in the past, I encourage you to give it try, assist where you can and make a difference.
Thank you,
Mayor Krantz
