“The Beattie Foundation, in their quiet and unassuming way, continues to make a big impact in Chatham-Kent. We are very grateful for their care and compassion towards local families as they say good-bye to their loved one,” said Jodi Maroney, Executive Director of the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.

The James A. Beattie Foundation of Wardsville donated $50,000 to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. This contribution brings the Foundation’s total donations to over $130,000, supporting local families who rely on the care provided by Chatham-Kent Hospice.

Established in 1958 in memory of James A. Beattie, the Foundation has a long-standing tradition of supporting children’s and seniors’ charities in the region.

The Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation funds the operations of Chatham-Kent Hospice, a 10-bed residential facility that provides end-of-life care and support for families. The hospice focuses on comfort, specialized pain and symptom management, and creating a home-like environment for residents.
