The Chatham-Kent Police, assisted by the Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant on Victoria Avenue in Ridgetown.
During the search, police recovered and seized approximately $36,000 worth of cocaine and oxycodone, along with less than $1,000 in Canadian currency, digital scales, cell phones, and packaging materials.
A 59-year-old woman from Ridgetown was arrested and charged with possession of a Schedule I substance (cocaine) for trafficking, contrary to Section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
She was taken to police headquarters and later released with conditions. She will appear in court on Nov. 7, 2024.
