Milton Residents can now buy their burn permits for the season. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, they’re only available online through the Milton Fire Department’s Website.
Permits are available for the following three types of burning:
- Outdoor Fire Container permits cover chimineas and outdoor fireplaces
- Brush Fire permits are needed for larger fires that require more safety clearance
- Agricultural Land permits deal with burning fields for crop maintenance
- Propane and natural gas fire do not require a burn permit.
Residents burning without a permit may face penalties including a potential fine if a fire truck is dispatched in response to a violation. To learn more visit their website.
